After years of speculation (I always thought it was Warren Beatty), Carly Simon has finally revealed the mystery man behind “You’re So Vain.” It’s always been one of my favorite fuck-you songs, a song that vilifies the arrogant man. We’ve all dated one—the rich, good looking asshole who gets everything and every woman he wants. I loved not knowing the answer. I wish Carly would have stayed strong. I wish that revealed philanderer gets one good knee in the crotch from all of us with clouds in our coffee.
