You can’t say we’re satisfied.

The L sat in Union Square, waiting. I removed my earbuds and listened. A man on the other end of the track sang Angie to the stranded 10am commuters. The few of us in the train were scattered in the seats, eyes up or eyes down. We tried hard not to move until the train did.  With no loving in our souls and no money in our coat, you can’t say we’re satisfied…
